Obituary of Harris Kobey

Harris Kobey, a native Denverite, passed away on May 11, 2017.  He was 74. 

Harris grew up in Denver to the late Leon and Ruth Kobey.  He graduated from East High School and earned his Bachelors of Arts degree from the University of Colorado.  Harris spent his first years after college working as a computer programmer for Honeywell in Chicago and later had a career as a General Contractor, having built many fine homes in South Denver.

Harris will be remembered by his family and friends for his kindness and generosity towards others.   He was a student of history, mathematics, and economics and enjoyed engaging in conversation with all those he met.  Harris exercised on a daily basis and took great pleasure in cycling, swimming, and tennis.

Harris is survived by his sons David Kobey of Easton Pennsylvania, Mark Kobey of San Francisco, his brother Paul Kobey of Denver and his close friends Rozanne Kobey and Marita Parks of Denver.

A memorial service will be held on May 16, 11 a. m.  at Temple Sinai 3509 S Glencoe St, Denver, CO 80237.  Contributions may be made to the charity of choice.
