Obituary of Eloyce Pepper

Eloyce Pepper (Karchmer) died unexpectedly and peacefully in Overland Park, Kansas on July 9 at the age of 81. Eloyce is survived by her husband of sixty one years, Morton Pepper; daughter, Sharon and her husband Scott, their children Andrea (Zach) and Jason; all of Overland Park, Kansas son-in law and daughter-in law Rick and Julie Rubin, and their children Mallory (Aaron), Arielle, Lila and Noah; all of Denver and great grandchildren Brooke and Jacob of Overland Park ; brother Barry (Arlene) Karchmer of Houston, Texas; and brother in- law Dr. Stanley Schrier of Palo Alto, California, special step sisters Marcee Newman and Bobbe Cook, both of Denver, special extended family Ellen and Evan Kline, Monica, Elana, Cheris, all of Denver Lynn and Jeffrey and Melissa Fradkin of Deerfield, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter Lynn Rubin of Denver, Colorado, parents Eva and Alfred Karchmer; and step-father Al Susman. Eloyce was born on September 5, 1935 in Houston,Texas to Eva and Alfred Karchmer. She attended the University of Texas at Austin. Eloyce was the kindest, most generous woman with a heart of gold. She was an example of what it means to heal the world "Tikkun Olam".  She always put her family and loved ones before herself.  She was passionate about spending time with her grandchildren and now great great grandchildren.  To her, there was nothing more important than family and she passed down that lesson to us all.  She was an active and dedicated member of the Hebrew Educational Alliance.  She was a loved member of the community and enjoyed playing Bridge, Mahjong and attending book club meetings with her many friends. The service is scheduled for Thursday, July 13th at 1:00 pm at Hebrew Educational Alliance Synagogue,with burial to follow at Rose Hill cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Lynn Rubin Memorial fund at the Hebrew Educational Alliance Synagogue. Girard Place Unit 402, Denver, CO 80113; Thursday after the service until early evening, with a minyan at 7:00pm; Friday visitations from 2:00pm to 5:00pm; Sunday from 2:00pm to 5:00pm, then again from 6:30pm through the evening with a minyan at 7:00pm.
