Obituary of Yaakov Rani Gruenwald

Yaakov “Koby” Rani Gruenwald, 2004-2018; Beloved son of Melanie and Rabbi Salomon Gruenwald; brother of Hannah and Micah Gruenwald; grandson of Sonia and Willie Gruenwald, Sheila Sasson, and Howard Sasson; Nephew of Judy (Steve) Mass, Daniel (Helene) Gruenwald, Evan (Allison) Sasson, Joel Schonfeld, Meryl Schonfeld, Israel Korngold, Mendel Korngold (z”l) and Sandra Schneider; Cousin of Jacob, Asher, and Remi Sasson, Jona and Jacob Mass, and Talia Gruenwald, and Lindsay Pascocello; Service, Sunday, 1;00pm , Hebrew Educational Alliance, 3600 S. Ivanhoe St; Interment Mt. Nebo Memorial Park; Donations in honor of Koby: Morgan Adams Foundation, Children’s Hospital of Colorado - Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders, Roundup River Ranch Camp, Camp Ramah in the Rockies, The Denver Hospice, Denver Jewish Day School, or the Hebrew Educational Alliance.

 

Visitation and Services:

The family will be sitting a full 7 days of Shiva, however, the visitation at their home is private!

There will be a Community visitation daily at the Goldberger Youth Center, 3:30 - 6:00 pm with Mincha/Maariv at 5:00 pm, Sunday through Thursday; Community visitations conclude on Thursday.

 

Food:

All food will be coordinated by Lisa Soicher and Marcy Balogh, including food for shiva and family meals. Those who wish to provide food for shiva or family meals are invited to please donate to the Koby Fund at HEA. Please do not bring/send food to the GYC or the house before consulting with Lisa or Marcy. Please call Feldman Mortuary for Lisa and Marcy's contact information.

Shiva and Condolence Calls

Visitation and Services will be held at the Goldberger Youth Center (GYC)following interment until 6:00 p.m. and Monday through Thursday from 3:30 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Each evening there will be a shiva minyan beginning at 5:00 p.m. The family will also be available at the GYC; Visitation concludes Thursday; Please respect that there is no visitation at the Gruenwald home. Food - Those who wish to provide food for shiva or family meals are invited to please donate to the Koby Fund at the https://headenver.formstack.com/forms/donations We know that bringing food is a way of showing your love and support. However, during shiva, please do not bring/send food to the GYC or the house. Your donation to the Koby Fund at HEA will ensure that the family is cared for now and in the future.
