Our beloved uncle Sid had a great heart❤️.
He always got in touch with our family living in Brazil to learn about how we were doing and asked us to keep him posted. He was a great brother to my father, Sol. Always concerned and caring.
The 2 times I visited him in Denver, it was a delight to be around him. He helped me learn English, even enrolled me in a course at DU. He showed me the neighborhood and places where he and my Dad grew up and took me to my first service ever in a Synagogue, as he cared to teach me our ancestors traditions.
He kept documents of our grandparents and their ancestors proving our genealogy and carefully xeroxed them so I could bring a copy to our Brazilian side of the Biderman family.
He had a great heart which could be seen through his big and lovely smile.
My prayers and soul are with his kids, hoping they can overcome the difficult moment by remembering his love legacy.
As my Dad also passed away this year (5 months before Sid), I am sure they now hold hands in heaven, with our beloved Aunt Ellen, my mother Tereza, and Granpa Barney and Grandma Ann.
RIP my beloved Uncle Sid ❤️

Uncle Sid was a fantastic uncle with a big heart. He tried to taught me how to play baseball when I was a kid, even though I got it all wrong. He had all the patience in the world.
I also remember once he made a huge effort to met me in the Denver airport to pay me a cup of coffee when I was in town for a few hours, the last time I was in Colorado.
He was always sending email to me and to my sister to keep the family link and always asking about Sol.
RIP Uncle, your are now in heaven with Ellen, my Dad Sol and your dog Gretchen.

I am so sorry for your loss. Sid grew up in the home with my father, Joe Carsh. Unfortunately my father passed away less than a month ago but I know he and Sid would kibbutz at the 24 hour fitness or at king soopers. My father would be saddened by this loss. Again, my condolences.

I'm writing to Sid's family as he and my husband were friends since their youth with ties from the West Side, love of sports and other commonalities. They bought Bronco tickets together from the inceeption of the NFL in Denver and then had to change when we married due to unavailabiliy of seats tpgether.. Ben died June of l917 and would have been very saddened, as well as myself, by Sid's passing before him. Please, if you could, inform me of time and place of Shiva I would greatly appreciate it.

Whenever I saw Sid on the ballfield he demonstrated that special feeling that only ballplayers know, and have known since we were all kids: the thrill of putting on the uniform, lacing up the spikes, grabbing your glove and bat, and walking out on the ballfield to play baseball. Baseball was a timeless place for Sid, as it is for all of us, where we can each walk out onto our own 'Field of Dreams' and be a kid all over again, every time we play the game. Despite all the continual changes in everything around us, baseball is a retreat from time for us all, where everything is exactly the same as it was years ago, since the day we first began to play it. The bunt, the smash line drive, the double play, the stolen base, curveball, homerun, diving catch in rightfield, everything we do on the ballfield takes us back to just being a kid again, playing baseball with our friends. And that is where we find Sid, standing at the plate trying to hit a curveball, and every time he comes up, for him it is just like he is 11 years old all over again.... And really, is that not the best definition of the 'Fountain of Youth'?
You have been an inspiration to us all, Sid, whether you knew it or not. You make the kid in us all want to stay out and play another inning, maybe this will be the time that we strike out the side, or hit a grandslam walkoff homerun, or catch that sinking line drive that saves the game for our team....
So thank you, Sid, for your example.
May you forever be Safe at Home.

I’m so sorry to hear about Sid’s death. Beating the Spikes became increasingly difficult as the years went on. There were no “easy outs”.
Just when we thought we could all “move in”to get Sid at 1st, he would rip a shot with that damn metal bat.
I haven’t played in a few years.
My eyes have failed me.
Now I see that there is still time to make a comeback.
Thanks Sid. You will be my inspiration to get back on the diamond.
I am in Minnesota. Sorry I cannot make his service.
Thanks Howard. Over 50 baseball is what brings us all together.

Shared from Olde Bats Senior Baseball Club's Facebook page:
Sadly, last night we lost octogenarian baseball player Sid Biderman of the Players, pictured standing on the left.
Sid was a fixture in the our senior baseball league and was still an active, contributing member of his 50-league Spikes.
The last hit that Sid collected against the Olde Bats, and he was always a decent hitter and not to be underestimated, was on April 19th of this season. He had great difficulty reaching first base safely, but he did it. Last season, he collected two big hits in our playoff loss to his eventual champion Players.
Don Farchone and I had Sid on our old Rangers team several years ago and he was an ambassador for the league. He recruited a number of players, still active, into the league.
So, a "tip of the cap" to Sid for playing the game he loved to the very end and to the fullest of his ability. He went out as a champion; he will be greatly missed.

Sid was the first one to welcome to the Players baseball team. He taught me a lot about the game. He encouraged me many times. I will miss him dearly.

Sid was a Spikes player in the Colorado Over 50 Baseball league when I first got there, and we endured a totally winless season (0-17). Fast forward to 2017, and by then we had won 5 championships. He never missed a game or a practice in that time. Winning or losing, he always had a smile and encouraging words for his teammates. He will be missed. I hope Sid's family is able to find some solace and peace.

The original 2001 Codgers. I was drafted onto this expansion team and that's when I first met this wonderful man named Sid. He never failed to ask how my wife and daughters were doing today. Always interested in people. Played baseball the way it was meant to be played. Many memories. The world is a sadder place now. May God bless.

Sid and I were teammates on the Codgers and Batmen for a total of 9 years. He was the best teammate that I have ever had at any level of baseball. I will remember all of the pre-season practices we had together at Slammers where everyone associated with the place knew him and would say, "SID!" when he walked into the facility to take batting practice. Since we were both attorneys, he and I often discussed legal issues and reminisced about Sid's days as a prosecutor at the Denver City Attorney's Office. The thing I most admired about Sid was his dedication and conscientiousness. Even though he did not get as many innings out in the field as many of the other players, he never complained, missed a practice or a game. A true team player and a good lawyer. But most of all, a great person! I am sure going to miss him.
I would like to extend my condolences to all of Sid's family, friends and teammates.
