Obituary of Carol Plotkin

Carol Schwartz Plotkin, most recently of Denver, wife of the late Stanley Plotkin (z’l) for 50 years, beloved mother of Bruce Plotkin (Judy Altenberg) of Denver, and Mark (Teresa) Plotkin, of Bethesda, MD, adored grandmother of Jeremy, Gabrielle, Sarah and Natalie, passed away Dec. 23, on her 79th birthday of complications following surgery. Funeral services and interment will be held Dec. 27 in Rockville, MD where Carol lived for 47 years before moving to Denver in 2013. In Maryland, Carol was active in Brandeis Women, Temple Sinai Sisterhood and Temple Beth Ami Sisterhood. In Denver, Carol was active in Temple Emanuel Sisterhood and several other community groups. A memorial service will be held at Temple Emanuel in Denver on Wed., Jan. 2, at 1:00 pm. Shiva will be observed at the home of Bruce and Judy (6272 S. Iola Ct., Englewood) beginning at 4:00 pm that day, with Minyan at 7:00 pm. Donations may be made in Carol’s memory to Temple Emanuel, 51 Grape St., Denver, CO 80220.
