To the entire Shwayder family,
Rick and I were so sad to hear of Scott's passing. I had such lovely memories of growing up with all of the Shwayder family down the block. Scott was a sweet and precocious kid who grew into a kind, engaging and generous man. Rick and Jared knew and admired him as a coach and a business leader. We are so deeply sorry for your loss and send you our deepest condolences during this incredibly difficult time.

I'm so sad to hear of Scott's passing. I can't even imagine the grief and pain the family is enduring. My favorite memories of Scott, in high school are standing at the bottom of the Pronto ski run in Vail watching him do back flips in the middle of the run. He was an outstanding skier! Justyn thinking of you and the kids.

Bonnie and family, I can't even imagine the pain and emotions you are all going through. Growing up with Scott as your 'little brother' I always thought he was so cute, smart and nice...and he grew into a handsome, still smart and nice, caring and successful man. I am glad I had the chance to see and 'catch up' with him a few years ago (Kelsey's wedding). There are no words to ease your pain, but know you are all in my heart and prayers. Love to you all, Patti Van Zee

Scott an I
In our Junior High School years we were rivals. Scott played linebacker I played quarterback. Scott always delivered hard hits but would put out a hand and help you up. In our high schools years we were classmates, teammates and friends. Scott an I competed with each other in everything. We competed for who had the most tackles, interceptions, fumble recoveries and touchdowns. For those who truly know "Shwayder" those other teams Bit The Dust in 1981! We also had a friendly rivalry in the classroom. We competed on who had the highest test scores in several of our classes. After we both graduated from college we both gravitated back to our home towns.
Real Estate an Insurance go hand and hand and we broke bread together. In the early 2000's Scott and his team would refer to me commercial buildings that needed insurance. I want to thank Scott and the Unique Properties Team for the business insurance we secured for our mutual clients.
To the family I am truly sorry for your loss and my condolences go out to all. I feel a part of me has been taken away as there is no more Scott an I. Thank you God for Shwayder and our memories.

What a sad and difficult time to understand.
Our families grew up together and the wonderful childhood memories are still very clear.
Scott always had me smiling - even though he usually had that little twinkle in his eyes that he was up to something, and I should watch out. :-) Always fun!
Scott, we will see you again.

Scott and I were friends in High School. I first got to know him from playing Lacrosse together. However, in the fall of 1982 we went on Semester at Sea together and traveled the world. We traveled together in all but 3 of the countries the boat visited that year. Too many memories to count but my favorite 3 are; Taiwan when I broke my hand and Scott was trying to communicate with the hospital staff who spoke no English and we started laughing so hard we couldn't speak. Then in Bali where we rented a hut on the beach, motorcycles, and a surf boards for about $37 a day each. We had wrapped my cast in plastic to go surfing but we were so far off shore that it ended up just falling apart in the ocean. And then our last port in Morocco where splurged on a 5-star hotel because we still had some money left. The first night we went out to a nice restaurant and a casino then got in a cab to go back and we couldn't remember the name of the Hotel. The cab driver just started driving to nice hotels until we finally recognized ours. I think it was the 5th or 6th one he took us to. I will miss you and look forward to the next time we meet.

We never got to meet you in person
What we did get to meet ....was your heart
Our lives were so vastly different
Our worlds were worlds apart
But you shared with us like we were family
And like family, our hearts are torn
Your kindness will never be forgotten
It will be paid forward and live on.
Love and sincere condolences

Warm Condolences. I knew Scott from high school. So handsome and popular. My last memory of him is a beautiful one and I will never forget! He came to a fundraiser at Piccolos in honor of Tom Simmons about 3 years ago. . He was humble, kind and quietly generous. I will never forget that about him. Truly rest in peace Scott. You are respected and missed.
