Kristin and Jessica - I know how hard this past 9 months have been for you. Losing both of your parents has left a notable hole in my heart, I can only imagine what you are feeling right now. I hope you take great comfort in knowing how much your parents genuinely loved and appreciated you. For the past 15 years I can't tell you how many hours I spent speaking with them. I can tell you that less than 10% of that time was about business. Most of it was about family (mixed in with a little baseball). Both yours and mine. During the good times and the struggles, your folks supported and believed in you relentlessly. Over the past couple of years I have come to learn how well placed their belief was. As I watched you stand up for, protect, and care for both your mom and your dad, I couldn't help but think about my own family. If I am able to instill half of the loyalty and love in my own children, I will consider myself a success. The Lewis family has come to mean a great deal to me over the years and I am so proud of the two of you. I know the transition after losing Marty and Barbara will not be easy but I also know that you are well equipped to handle it. For as long as I have known your parents, it was family before all. It is easy for me to see that Lewis Family Trait will carry forward.
Marty, I already miss you buddy. Conversations like the ones we had are hard to replace.
XOXO
Greg
