Lottie's family in Detroit is so saddened to learn of her lonely passing. Her raspy, hearty, and often infectious laugh, sparkling clear blue eyes and fabulous head of pure white snow hair was a memorable part of family celebrations over the years. I personally got to know Aunt Lottie and Uncle Walter even better when I visited them as a young adult in Denver. They were both so warm and generous -- welcoming me into their home, lovingly and openly sharing their memories of their youth in Europe, the horrors of Holocaust and their hard work and good fortune in building a family and a business in the United States. Though they lived far from us -- they were with us often for family celebrations and were always so fun to be with. Lottie continued to live life to the hilt, surviving the loss of her dear husband and daughter, and ever cared for with such dignity and loyalty by Michele. May her memory be for a blessing and love to Michele, Kerry and Mitchell.
