We just found out about Aaron's death through the article he wrote for Craig's FB page. I am still in tears.
My husband was a patient on 3W for almost 4 months last summer. Once he was finally able to eat "real food" we found out who the friendly smile we would meet in the halls or the gym belonged to! Aaron was an amazing educator. We will not forget the day he came in with his guitar and presented his nutrition information in ballad form. He was a very effective educator--Dave has been able to keep his glucose levels in the desired range by diet alone (until allergy season began late this spring!) and even at that, he is usually not TOO far off.
This is just to say he had a greater reach than many people, and I will always remember that kind and gentle smile and the word of encouragement every time we crossed paths at Craig. I will be praying for you as you face a different future; that you will find comfort and strength each day and know that he made a difference in many lives in the short time he spent on this earth. May God be with you all.
Dave and Florence Mowrey.
