Our family to family connection started with Sheila starting with my residency in 1954. Sheila's husband Henry was a fellow resident at that time. The other residents and their families developed a connection and friendship that lasted throughout the years. One year after the passing of Paul and two years after the passing of my wife Louise, Sheila and I developed a deep friendship that enriched each other. In essence, a world of advanced emotional and intellectual harmony ensued to the point that Sheila had said that such a connection should be advanced between aging people and she was interested in writing a scientific paper on this subject. Regretfully, we never were able to complete this paper.
We had many moments of laughter together including on the day before Sheila's 90th birthday, we were having lunch and I shared with her my observation that we keep getting older, but the waiting staff remains the same age.
I would like to commemorate her passing with all of the pleasant emotions and memories she instilled, not just for me, but to all of those who she touched.
With love,
