As retired long-time employees at Green Gables Country Club, we were both saddened to hear of the passing of Mr. Levy.
I remember fondly so many positive and friendly interactions with Mr. Levy and his family in the 16 years I worked there...16 years---that's a lot of diet cola and french fries (NO salt, please!)--- and a lot of pleasant memories.
Condolences to all the family, especially Mrs. Levy and Mariah, and PEACE to all.

Dear Leslie and Mariah,
I am so sorry for your loss. I will always fondly remember David and I having breakfast with him every Sunday morning at Ellie Mae’s restaurant on Leetsdale. I remember how happy he was to meet you, Leslie! He always had big plans. Even in the 70’s he had visions of creating a solar living community. May your wonderful memories bring you comfort.

Dear Leslie and family,
I am so sorry for your loss. While our lives have not intersected in many years, you hold a very special place in my heart. It was a beautiful service and please know that my prayers, thoughts and love are with you. I was so surprised that you have been married for 44 years. It seems like your wedding was only yesterday. I am happy that your love lasted all of these years. i am sending you many hugs to surround you with warmth and support. please hold them dear and know i do as well.

Leslie, Mariah and family,
Renée and I were so sorry to hear of Sheldon's passing.
I'll never forget him picking me up every day and taking me to GW High School.
And AZA wouldn't have been the same without him.
What a character.
We are saddened that his time on this earth was short, but he definitely left his mark.
Take care,
Jeffrey and Renée Goldstein

I met Sheldon at the Town Club on Sherman Street in the late 1950s when I was about 10 years old and he was about 8. Throughout the time I knew him he looked the same as he does in the picture that Leslie has posted here! Yes, he was much younger, he had no grey hair, he was a bit smaller, but he had the same affable smile and, of course, he was a Big Guy even then. The picture is fitting too because Sheldon is seated in a booth at a restaurant and it appears that they serve free refills of Diet Coke or he wouldn't be smiling! Through the years, I played many very enjoyable rounds of golf with Sheldon in Denver mostly at Green Gables and Cherry Creek and in Arizona at Kierland, Talking Stick, Gainey Ranch, and Desert Highlands. Sometimes we were joined by our wives and we got to know and love Leslie and the four of us met for dinner both in Denver and Scottsdale. Sheldon was a unique and forceful presence and I will always remember him with fondness.
Leslie, Mariah, and your whole family, Amy and I are deeply saddened by Sheldon's passing. Please accept our deepest condolences.

We were very fortunate to reconnect with Sheldon and Leslie this past spring. We had the opportunity to enjoy several rounds of golf with them and were planning on more opportunities this fall. Sheldon was a unique person who spoke his mind. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.
