I need a bigger internet! Watching the service, I realised you are one of the few people who really did use you days wisely. You truly accomplished something that will last beyond the span of your days, friendship.
The world was a lighter place with you in it and the happy memories will help keep it light now you’ve left us.
I will remember your laughter, your wisdom, your stubbornness, your endless giving and of course our regular Sunday afternoon “business meetings” in TGI’s in Prague with Phipps. They always involved way too many JD and Coke’s FOR US and your requirement of any cocktail that was blue and had an umbrella. Most of all though, I’ll remember your kindness.
I would say you are one in a million, but you are rarer than that. Selfless to a fault, giving, supportive, and the best devil’s advocate to any idea I’ve ever presented.
I know you will laugh at the tears I’ve shed writing this, and I know you will also appreciate that this is probably the fewest words I’ve said about anything ever. yet there is so much left to say.
All your friends in Prague will remember our better days that were blessed with your presence. I am raising a glass to you now my friend, Cheers to you Charlie. Till we meet again, Gus an coinnich sinn a-rithist - Michael Dolan
