I had the privilege of getting to meet Carol at a backyard party and what a sweet gift to the world she is! Memories are what makes those live for ever. God bless

I've only known Carol through Facebook for the past couple of years, when she and Alan traveled through the northeast with my cousins Malcolm and Linda, who stayed at my home for a couple of days.
I feel as if I got to know Carol, even through FB and it was a pleasure to feel her optimism of life.
Her comments and thoughts will be missed.
May her memory be a blessing :)

I honestly can't recall our first meeting, but I think it was at Woody's Wings to eat and talk Jeeps. Our first Jeep trip to Twin Lakes, in that little B&B was absolutely amazing. The laughter and friendship made was for a lifetime. So many trails, so many gatherings, so much love. Carol you will always hold a special place in my heart and in the hearts of my children. You showed us all love that we really needed and made us all proud to call you a friend.
My prayers go out to the entirety of the Stine Family. May you all have peace knowing that Carol will always be with you all. Rest easy SWMBO.

My strongest memory of Carol is how she openly adored Al, and his adoration of her.
Al and family - I hope your memories bring a smile through your tears.

Our dear friend Carol. The times were always great when Carol was there. She found my wedding dress fabric and my wedding ring! Then you guys took that crazy ride to Utah and married us in the car in Colorado (in a raging snow storm), then again in Utah. The bridge, the Mataxa, and always the laughs. But most of all Carol always accepted every single bit of us, from our nose to our toes, inside and out. It is something I have never experienced in any other human being. Carol, you will be missed. Forever you remain in our hearts and minds.

My memories are not explicit, per se, but more of a feeling and emotion. As mom of my best friend (then Katie) when I was 10, Mama Carol was just always there then I would go to the Stines’ house. She would be in 1 of 3 places: in her recliner, watching TV and sometimes crafting, in the kitchen cooking dinner or preparing us snacks, or out by the pool.
I do remember my first time eating artichokes was with Carol and she was showing me what to do. Not being an adventurous eater at that age, that was a pretty big deal and clearly a sign of trust. I also remember spending at least one Passover Seder with the Stine family, and of course she was a big part of that.
When we reconnected around 2015 in person, what I remember most was the love, acceptance and compassion that she bestowed on me as I was in the middle of very difficult time in my life. She was a calming presence and I will miss her. My heart will ache for two Stines now, for a long time. To Andy and Alan, we will always be family. Sending much love to you today.

I see Carol, and Mary, sitting in that big “O’ Club Bar” in heaven. It’s happy hour...it’s always happy hour in heaven, just like Florida. They’re smoking a cigarette...because they can. They’re drinking Zeller Schwarze Katz wine and listening to tall tales from Jack the Clock, Peter, Crummer and a whole bunch of our other departed friends. Yep, and they’re still bitching about why the hell it’s taking us so long to get there.

Our deepest sympathies to Alan and Andy and family. The Stines were my second family for much of my upbringing and Carol was always like a Mom to me (she was to everyone).
RIP to her, and my prayers for those she left behind.

David and I spent many special times together over the past 26 years with Carol and Al. I can’t identify just one memory. What really stands out about Carol is how kind she was to everyone. She accepted every one as they were. I am a better person for knowing her and being her friend. We were truly kindred spirits.
