Hello Renae Dechter Levin Family Members. I am very said for your loss of Renae, of course I have many memories of our families as children playing together while our dads worked up deals together & I think Sid mostly wrote the articles and PR statements for the deals and more recently Renae's involvement in the Buckhorn. I knew Renae was a much loved and well educated person who we all shall miss very much. She left a lasting impression for me and I will never forget her "fun" energy and intellect. May the positive thoughts help you all in the healing process and know she will always be kept alive for me!

My husband and I send our sympathies to Renae’s family. She was so proud of all of you. Renae and I taught together at North and stayed in touch through a lunch group that meets periodically. My husband, Keith, and I travel a lot and he sends travelogues to friends. We always welcomed Renae’s comments about them. We were so impressed when we wrote about having “Tea with Eleanor” at our visit to Campobello Island and Renae wrote back that she had actually met Eleanor Roosevelt.
Renae’s quick wit, love of laughter and genuine interest in people will be missed. I do have a humorous anecdote to end this message. Renae and I shared a classroom for awhile at North. I came in to teach my class and Renae said she wasn’t quite ready to go and would she mind if she stayed a few more minutes. Of course that was fine. I started class and because was up front I stood in the middle of the class. I slowly realized all the kids were looking at the front of the room and not paying any attention to me. I turned around and there was Renae, cleaning out her huge purse! I just let her have center stage! Renae, you are missed.

My condolences to all of Renee's family members. I will always remember her warm and gracious manner as we visited at Mark's special Birthday Party a few years ago. She was enthusiastic and knowledgeable about so many aspects of life. You were so fortunate to have her as your Matriarch. May she always be a blessed memory to all who knew her and loved her.

Renae was a valuable part of our family at Club Greenwood for many years; being a role model to fellow members and making sure everything we put in print was done with proper grammar and editing. :) She will be dearly missed.

My condolences to Renae's family, especially to the grandchildren she so loved and enjoyed. She was my friend and colleague at North High School , and we enjoyed many meals, activities and adventures over the years. She was fun, interesting, intelligent, entertaining and compassionate, someone I l iked and admired greatly. Her wit and interest in the world around her made her a delightful companion. She will be missed.

It has been my gift to know Renae. Her intelligence, wit, sincerity and quick access to laughter made her a joy to be with. I was always amazed by her ability to participate in exercise classes attended by many much younger.
I will miss you deeply Renae.
Love, Paulette

I am very sad to hear of the passing of Mrs. Renae Levin. I got to know her through English class at Abraham Lincoln High School in Denver, in 1990. She was the most warm and caring teacher I have ever had. She went out of her way to tutor me to get ready for the ACT and SAT English tests. I would remember spending lunch hour in her classroom, going through new vocabularies, and reading comprehension. Those where the fun times for me.
We still remained in touch even after graduation, and occasionally met up for lunch when I was working in the DTC area. She would always give me good advice about anything that bothered me then. Her smile, her warm voice, still echoed in my mind to this day.
Although the world has lost a warm and caring teacher, but it's time for her to be in heaven, with God and her beloved husband, Sid.
Mrs. Renae Levin - I will always remember your warm and caring thoughts, your wonderful smile and the special gift you have given me - the courage to seek for knowledge and wisdom.
Please accept my condolences for the passing of your mother, and grandmother, and my prayers are with you all during this time.

My deepest sympathy to all of Renae's beloved family. Renae was my dear friend, and we shared ideas, sadness and so much laughter and many adventures. Our trip through Yugoslavia when few Americans and especially American women ventured there took courage and spunk, and Renae was up to it. A superb teacher, many of her students remember her with fondness and gratitude.
Syd and Renae and my husband Bill and I had many delightful encounters and we enjoyed the couple's intelligence and wit.
Renae was beautiful, vivacious, fun loving and principled. I feel fortunate to have enjoyed her friendship and loyalty. I shall miss her.

Our most sincere condolences to all of you. It was a special gift to have Renae as our neighbor. Being Robyn"s first grade teacher gave us a special early connection, but that was only the beginning of what became our growing fondness for her. I came to regard Renae as a model - someone who, and she would appreciate the literary reference, would "not go gentle into that good night." In recent years, even as health issues presented a growing challenge, we would see her sitting on her front porch, enjoying the sunshine while reading a favorite book, or out for a walk on a sunny day, using her walker in the company of an assistant. When we would occasionally check in via phone, she invariably sounded upbeat, confident, and strong. To us, Renae was a force of nature, someone determined to live her life on her own terms, and for that she earned our sincere respect and admiration. We will miss her and think of her often. Again, our condolences on your loss. Susan Friedman and Abe Wagner

Mrs Levin was one of my favorite teachers at North High School . She was inspiring and kind. She had wit and taught us about justice in speech and debate class in our National Forensics League competitions. She was a treasured educator and friend even after we graduated. Always interested in our Iives and success after high school. And I was so lucky to take her to North High reunions, where so many students could meet and talk with her and thank her for all she did. She enjoyed them too. And always so happy to see her at shule where I could say Shabbat Shalom or Gut YoM Tov to my favorite teacher. And although is was ok to call her by her first name, it was more important to address her as Mrs. Levin, beacuse she was always respectful and deserved the proper and formality an educator deserves. She was an eyshet chayil and example of all that is good to all of us. I will miss her very much. May her memory forever be a blessing.
