Obituary of Fritz Friedland
Irving (Fritz) Friedland was born New Years Eve 1919 to Belle and Wolf Friedland. He was brother to the late Harold Friedland, the late Eleanor Tisherman and father to the late Scott Friedland. He was a beloved uncle, great uncle, cousin, friend, dance partner, bridge partner, and fill-in father and grandfather to so many. Fritz grew up on Denver’s West Side, attending North High School. He proudly served in the US Navy during World War II. He was a consistent and loyal friend and even kept up with the lives of his friends’ children and grandchildren, remembering birthdays and accomplishments and interests over the years. Big band music and dancing were lifelong loves. Playing Bridge was also a passion, for the game, but even more for the connection to the people he cherished. Fritz was not a big talker, but he liked to kid and kibitz, and you could always count on him to share a joke or two. He was known for his amazing memory, his sense of humor, his generosity and love of so many. A true statement: Everybody loved Fritz!
