Obituary of Beatrice Pitter

Beatrice Pitter, age 103, passed away peacefully on Saturday evening, June 26, 2021 at Shalom Park.

She was born September 23, 1917, in Denver, Colorado, a daughter of Hyman and Jennie Burack. Bea was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Jack Pitter (1914-1989) and brother, Saul Burack.

Bea grew up on Denver’s West side, graduated from North High School in 1934,  and was a member of the Hebrew Educational Alliance. She was an incredible cook, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Bea spent her years knitting beautiful sweaters for her family, and also countless hats and scarves for charity. She loved playing cards and bingo.

Bea is survived by her son Ralph Pitter and daughter-in-law, Marsha Pitter. Granddaughters Cindy Souser, Jeanee Hoffman (Tony Hoffman), and Vikki Goldberg (Greg Goldberg). Great grandchildren, Zachary Souser, Jessica Souser Lynn (Darren Lynn), and Sophie and Esther Goldberg. In August, Bea would have had a great-great grandson and so looked forward to meeting this baby. This boy will proudly carry on her name. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her. Bea leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love that will never be forgotten.
