Patty, I was taken by surprise by the news of Bud’s passing. I was not aware of any ill health even though I keep in touch with Jay since we left Denver. I have very special memories from our many golf games where Bud would bicker with Ron or Roger, etc., and provide the entertainment by means of petty disagreements and add some spice to an otherwise pretty boring round of golf. Bud’s humor and empathy will be missed. Nancy and I send prayers and love.

I was so sorry to hear about Budd. He has a special place in my heart. He was kind, funny and smart. Even though we have not seen each other much since I left Denver, he was always a person who came to mind with wonderful memories of our friendship when i did come home or when i talked to his close friends Chuck , Ron and Denny.. What i remember most is his wonderful sense of humor. He always made me laugh often at myself. I remember the times when I was in medical schoo and living at home. He would pick me up and we would goto a nearby church where he and I would go to play duplicate bridge. Ou opponents were incessantly smoking older women who would not talk to us.and generally . Buddy and I would usually get beaten but we had a great time. We always said that duplicate bridge was not a place to meet girls.
Fortunately, he met you and i know what a wonderful life you have had together. We had such fun.
Buddy talked about you and your children and grandchildren with such love and pride . I ei know how much Bud loved you and was proud of you and your children..
I am sorry for you and your family's loss and the loss all of his friends are suffering.
Roberta sends her love. Our thoughts are with you.
