I'm so sad not to have spent more time with Joni, thinking she would live forever. Well I believe she still lives with each of us forever. As a young Sales Manager, Joni worked for me however, she only let me believe I was the boss. A beautiful person inside and out. I remember her always cutting up apples during the day, talking about her beloved father, son's, and grand kids. She was real, and believed in making the most of everyday. Yes, let's not forget about being the best sales person around, it was because she loved what she did. I still live by her most popular saying, you don't get if you don't ask. LOVE YOU JONI.

Dearest Joni. I am so sorry to hear of your passing. I have so many memories of us country dancing all those years ago at the Stampede. We had such fun. Last time i saw you was just a couple of years ago at the NY Deli and had a chance to catch up. I remember thinking how beautiful you still were - that you hadn't changed a bit!!!! Rest in Peace my friend!! Love, Ann Hession

Joni Horton was a beautiful person inside and out. Her presence was like a shining light. I met her at Platt College many years ago and we became friends immediately. She showed me the ropes in Admissions and taught me everything I know. She was my mentor and friend. She was kind, caring, and loving. You will be missed Joni. Love, Barb Jones

At Platt College, we were fortunate enough to work with Joni. She was kind to students, assuring them that they could do any and everything they ever dreamed of in life. She was a wonderful co-worker; she was a true team member in the sense of giving help to anyone who needed it. At Platt College, we say "the student comes first." Joni lived that saying every day of her employment. Fondly remembered, dearly missed,
Dr. Julie Basler, President of Platt College and faculty and staff

As Joni's husband, I am devastated beyond belief! I have made many mistakes down the road of life but taking Joni Aaron as my life partner in marriage was not one among them. Joni was beyond belief in her love for me, our family and others in her life. She was a beautiful model in her past and a legend in the college recruiting industry. I loved her, she knew it and she passed with that assurance. Rest in peace my beloved Joni!

Joni was such fun when I played Mahjongg at her beautiful home. She and her wonderful husband, Jim, watched my cats when I traveled. She loved her family and was proud of her Jewish heritage and her father’s contributions to the Denver community. She will be sorely missed. I am grateful for my friendship with her. My sincerest condolences to her husband, Jim, whom she loved deeply.
