Syril Newman, (nee Foster) April 29, 2022, age 82, of Denver, CO. Preceded in death by husband Julian "Bud" Newman and son Steve Berg. Loving mother of Geri Berg. Dear sister of Rabbi Steven (Joyce). Foster. Adoring grandmother of Marissa. Caring stepmother of David (Laura Orgel) Newman, Jonathan (Pamela Frank) Newman, Debra (Charles) Olins, and Miriam Newman Jacobson. Treasured step grandmother of 9 and step-great-grandmother of 1. Further survived by other nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.

Funeral services 11 AM Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at Congregation Emanu-El B'ne Jeshurun, 2020 W. Brown Deer Rd., River Hills. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery, 2615 W. Cleveland Ave., Milwaukee. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Congregation Emanu-El B'ne Jeshurun, Temple Emanuel Denver, or Kavod Senior Life.
