Obituary of Elin Robbins-Geman
Elin passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family. She bravely chose to spend her time with friends and family at home after constant doctors, hospitals, and medications. There are no words to describe how much we will miss her. Elin was beautiful and talented in all aspects of her life, but she was fiercely herself, and unwavering in how she wanted to live.
She was a mother to Kathryn (Brian) and through marriage to Nicolas (Katelin), Bryon (Joanna), and Jeff, and after her sister Anne’s death, to Anne’s children Max and Rachel. She was Mimi to Andrew and Ethan, Karter and Reese, and to a soon to be born fifth grandchild.
She was a loving elementary school teacher in Boulder for over two decades, and touched much of the Boulder community because she connected with so many of her students.
To this day it is impossible to walk around Boulder without hearing someone say “Miss Robbins.”
Sixteen years ago, Kathryn’s boyfriend (now her husband) donated a kidney to Elin which resulted in an extended and wonderful 16 years of life during which we could all enjoy time with her.
Funeral service will be Monday, 5/9, at 12pm at Har HaShem Synagogue in Boulder. Graveside at Green Mountain Cemetery to follow.
Her service will be live streamed by Har HaShem.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her name can be made to the Polycystic Kidney Foundation or the American Transplant Foundation.
