My sincere condolences to Yana's family and friends. We grew up together at JFS, from the late 70s... so I knew her quite well. We were " lantzmen", as my family was also from Ukraine... We learned together and we grew, together, in our lives and in our work.. and in our mutual admiration and respect for each other. I have always been so impressed by and appreciative of her dedication, passion and love for JFS and for all of us and for her support of me and my family. I think thats her essence... that while she embraced and supported so many... the entire Jewish community, in fact...but she made each of us feel special and appreciated as an individual. To me, this was her true gift. May her memory be a blessing.
Shalom, Arnie Kover
