Obituary of Ada Geller

Ada Geller (Rais), age 77, of Greenwood Village, CO, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2022 surrounded by her family.  Ada was born in Buchara, Uzbekistan on October 22, 1944 and grew up in Hadera, Israel.  She went to college at Hebrew University in Jerusalem and earned a Bachelor of Science in biology.  She then attended Tel Aviv University where she achieved a masters in Physiology.  She moved to Pittsburgh, PA with her husband in 1975 and settled in Scottsdale, AZ in 1980 where she ran Reuven’s medical practice for over 20 years.  She and Reuven moved to Denver after their retirement to be closer to their son.  Ada loved painting and her favorite subject was her son as a child, playing with his friends in the Arizona sunshine.  She was also a talented published poetry writer. There was nothing in the world that she loved and cared for more than her family, especially her grandchildren Maddie and Asher.

Ada is survived by her husband Reuven of Greenwood Village, her son Gayor (Stephanie), her sister Hannah Eli (Zadok) and her beloved grandchildren, Madilynn and Asher.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Rivka and Shlomo Rais.

The funeral service will be held at the Hebrew Educational Alliance (3600 S Ivanhoe Street, Denver) on Tuesday, August 30 at 10:00am and will be streamed live on the HEA YouTube channel.  Burial will follow at Mt. Nebo Cemetery (11701 E 13th Ave, Aurora).  Shiva will be observed at the home of Stephanie and Gayor Geller (6023 S Akron Way, Greenwood Village) on Tuesday, August 30th from 3:00pm to 6:00pm, Wednesday, August 31 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm and Thursday, September 1 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.
