Obituary of Lawrence Mendelsberg

Lawrence B. Mendelsberg was born on 4 June 1937 in Denver, Colorado, the oldest child of Albert and Dorothy Mendelsberg.

Larry was the beloved older brother of Marlene (Marvin) Feldman. He was the loving father of Scott (Irene) Mendelsberg and Andy (Theress Pidick) Mendelsberg and the adoring grandfather of Lauren, Lindsey, Katie, Drew, Tatum, and Payton. He is also remembered by nieces and nephews and cousins. Larry died 8 September 2022 at home at the age of 85.

Larry grew up in Denver and Albuquerque. He graduated from Highland High School in Albuquerque, NM. He served in the US Navy as a corpsman in San Diego. After leaving the Navy he moved back to Denver and had a successful career working at Amoco, where he was a manager for special projects and geophysical technicians.

Larry loved playing and watching sports and followed all Colorado teams, especially the Broncos, where he a long time season ticket holder. He especially loved watching his sons coach, and watching his grandchildren play. More than anything, he loved his family and he did whatever he could to see them happy. He was a kind, generous, affectionate, welcoming, resilient, loving man.

Funeral and burial services will be on Sunday, September 11, at 10:00 a.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery.

Shivah will be on Sunday evening from 5:00 p.m. — 8:00 p.m. at 124 S Roslyn St. Minyan will be at 6:00 p.m.
