Obituary of Nanci Hale
On September 3rd, 2022, Nanci Hale, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt passed away peacefully at her home in the town she loved. Nanci was 71 years old and is survived by her seven children: Genny, Sean, Christy, Michael, Jonathan, Patrick and Colin, to whom she devoted her life. She is also survived by her sister and best friend, Sue Dell, her brother Stephen and 11 grandchildren as well as William Hale.
Nanci led a life full of meaning. She imbued in her children love, a sense of humor, and a dogged determination to persevere no matter the obstacle. She was one of only two women in her electrical engineering program and successfully obtained her degree while raising seven children. In addition to her children, Nanci was a lifelong educator, devoting herself to teaching community college and grade school children alike. She was a voracious reader and a fount of knowledge.
Nanci was deeply rooted in her faith, serving on the Ritual Committee at Temple Beth Evergreen where she taught Hebrew school for many years.
Nanci is loved for her wit, for her resilience and for her quirky sense of style. Her sense of humor is legendary and we all smile to think of her.
She is deeply and forever loved and missed. Her life’s work and purpose will live on through her children, grandchildren and those lucky enough to have known her.
There will be a traditional graveside funeral service on Friday, September 16th, at 1:45 pm at Emanuel Cemetery (within Fairmount Cemetery) located at 430 S. Quebec Street Denver, CO. The entrance to Emanuel Cemetery is located approximately 1 block south of the main gate of Fairmount off of Quebec Street. Livestream of service available on the Feldman Mortuary YouTube channel.
The following day, Saturday, September 17th at 2:30 pm there will be a celebration of life at the United Center in Idaho Springs, CO located at 1440 Colorado Blvd. Street parking available as well as parking at Saint Paul’s Catholic Church and the Elk’s Lodge down the street from the United Center. Neighbors and friends of Nanci are invited to attend.
