Nathan and I and my entire family would like to offer up our deepest, heartfelt condolences to Mike, Ben, Peggy, Dave, Ron, James, their families, as well as all of Beloved Deb's loved ones. I have such fond memories of playing with my wonderful cousin Debbie, all the way back from the time that we were children. Every time her family visited my family in Riverside, CA, I would always be so excited to see her. She was always so sweet and fun to be around! She brought tons of joy wherever she went. Her laugh is unforgettable, as is her smile, as well as her natural, unaffected, honest and playful self. I remember when she and her family came back from living in England, they brought the British version of the Monopoly game to my family as a gift. And I remember playing that game with Debbie, and how we had such a great time. Then, as young adults, we still had that same connection; and it helped that our moms--my mom, Sherry, and Deb's mom, Peggy, were also like sisters. Even if I hadn't seen Deb for a while, whenever I did see her, it felt like we could instantly catch up with each other, because of the everlasting bond from being childhood cousins/friends. I spoke to her just as recently as at the beginning of August 2022, where she called me to tell me that while at her parents' house, she had come across some photos of my Beloved dad, who passed away in 2013. She was so excited to tell me about these pictures of my dad, to chat about how great of friends our dads were (her dad, Dave, and my dad, Shel), how extremely proud she was of her and Mike's son, Ben, as well as to tell me about a childhood photo that she had also come across, from when they lived in Woodland Hills, CA (first photo). We always had a love of family stories, memories (always giggling about all the "back-to-back photos," showing our respective heights over the years), and old photographs. Even when we were in our early twenties, there are photos of us looking through a family photo album together. I will always treasure Deb's memory, and remember her as a beautiful person, filled with so much life, love, helpfulness, generosity, laughter, amazing energy, as well as extremely kind, multi-talented, and caring.
