Obituary of Kenneth Baum

Kenny Baum, loving husband, father, and grandfather died peacefully Sunday morning, December 11th, 2022, in Denver, Colorado.

Kenny was born June 20, 1955 in Fort Worth, Texas, to Dorothea and Gary Baum. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1977, where he was a proud member of the Sigma Alpha Mu Fraternity and the Silver Spurs, where he made lifelong friends.

After graduation Kenny eventually settled in Houston where he lived for the next 44 years. Houston is where Kenny met his wife, Donna Schwartz, by the pool in 1979. They married on March 22, 1981.

Kenny was a very successful salesman, first, selling cowboy hats and later, professional beauty supplies. He had a passion for golf, the Dallas Cowboys, nice watches, sports cars and fine clothes. He also loved reading, Torah study and riding his Harleys.

His biggest joy in life was his family - his son Andy (Rachel) and their 3 daughters and his daughter Lauren (Max) and their daughter. He always looked forward to family gatherings. Kenny is also survived by his brother Dennis (Dixie) and sister Jane (Jeff) Robbins.

Kenny had a great sense of humor, and a smile that lit up a room, both of which will be missed by all who knew him.
