Obituary of Charleen Dansky

Charleen Rosen Dansky of Denver, CO passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 9, 2023, one month after celebrating her 93rd birthday. Charleen was born in Denver, Colorado to Irving and Lilian Rosen. She was the third of four children: the younger sister of Burton Rosen and Janice Rosen Newstat and the older sister of Edward Rosen.

Charleen married Robert Dansky on June 16th, 1957. Bob (Twill) was friends with her brother Burton and would come by the house under the pretense of seeing him but was actually there to see Charleen. They were married for 65 wonderful years and were the heart of their family.

Charleen is survived by her husband Robert J Dansky; daughters Lori Dansky Hasbrouck (Jay Hasbrouck), Louisville, CO, and Cheri Dansky (Richard Brian Mills), Highlands Ranch, CO; Grandsons Cory Hasbrouck, Littleton, CO and Jeremy Hasbrouck, Louisville, CO; Brother Edward Rosen (Louise Gallegos), Centennial, CO; Auntie “Honey” to Ronald Newstat, (Roselen Newstat, Thealeyna Newstat) San Rafael, CA.

Charleen loved working in her garden, baking, and most of all spending time with friends and family. She retired with the Cherry Creek School District in 1995 as a records secretary for Overland High School. She was always smiling and was loved by everyone who knew her. Her favorite saying epitomizes exactly who she was - “plant a little smile in the garden of your heart and watch the happiness grow.
