Obituary of Brandon Mandelbaum

Brandon Dean Mandelbaum was born in Denver on August 27, 1987 to Debbie and Gary.  His birth was a true family affair. He was delivered by Gary’s first cousin, Reid Goodman MD and Debbie’s first cousin, Kim Sutton, was the delivery nurse. Gary was the official photographer.    

He was predeceased by his Maternal Grandfather, Glen Alderman; his Maternal Uncle Mike Alderman, his Paternal Grandparents Sam and Evelyn Mandelbaum. He is survived by his parents, Debbie and Gary Mandelbaum, his maternal grandmother, Dorothy Alderman, Aunt and Uncle Linda and Dave Ohnmacht, his cousins Bryony Lovelett (Eric Marshal), Ian Lovelett and Scott Handler. 

He attended Beth Joseph pre-school and then went on to Cherry Hills Village Elementary School.  Following graduation at West Middle School, he attended both Cherry Creek High School and Aspen Ranch in Utah.  Afterwards he went to Fort Lewis college in Durango. 

As a child, he was always happy. He loved nature, animals, and his many friends. 

He obtained a degree in massage therapy from Colorado School of Healing Arts and worked at Devil’s Thumb Resort in Winter Park, Colorado.  In addition, he obtained a degree from the Escoffier School of Culinary Arts and worked at Boulder’s iconic Flagstaff House.  He also worked at Karman with his father designing footwear. 

Brandon’s life came to a tragic and early end this past weekend.  He will be greatly missed for his caring, kindness, generosity and respect for others.

A reception will be held afterward at Glenmoor Country Club, 110 Glenmoor Drive, Englewood CO.
