Obituary of Rebecca Green

Rebecca “Ricky” Green, 101, of Denver, CO, and formerly of the Bronx, NY, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 16, 2023.

During her first 70 years living in the Bronx, she served as PTA President of P.S. 97, Sisterhood President of Young Israel, Camp Fire Girls leader, and graduated Lehman College at age 70. She was a constant volunteer in hospitals and Jewish day schools, always helping other people, and putting a smile on their faces.

Since 2017, she lived at The Courtyard at Mountain View in Denver and continued to help senior residents while exercising every day.

Ricky was the daughter of the late Ethel and Nathan Rochman, wife of the late Samuel Green, and sister of the late Rae Lauer and Rocky Rochman. She is survived by three daughters, Sherry (David Ness) Herzog of Canton, MA; Joyce (Leslie) Kelen of Salt Lake City, UT; and Donna (Emil Abraham) Jewett of Littleton, CO. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on February 19, 2023 at 11am at King Solomon Memorial Park, 550 Dwasline Road, Clifton, NJ.
