Obituary of Jesse Greenberg
Jesse Greenberg was born October, 2, 1931 in Brooklyn, NY to Charles and Pauline Greenberg. He was the youngest of two children. His older sister was Gilda Love (deceased) of Woodmere, NY.
Jesse was a native of Woodhaven, Queens, NY, graduated from Richmond Hill high school in Queens and then attended New York University graduating with a degree in mechanical engineering. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was married to Alice Neulander in 1954 and fathered three children Daniel (Monique) Greenberg of Parker, CO, Wendy Hanophy (Brian Sauriol) of Aurora, CO and Elizabeth Greenberg (Jim Papanu) of San Rafael, CA. He was remarried in 1968 to Elaine Jarrod and had a fourth child, Francine Greenberg of Denver, CO. He was grandfather to Carly (Douglas) Jacobs of Silver Spring, MD, Skylar Lowery of Arvada, CO, Branden Lowery of Valley City, ND and Liann Hanophy of Littleton, CO.
He spent most of his working life in various automotive related endeavors from working as an engineer for Chrysler Corporation, selling cars in Long Island, NY and then working as a mechanic in various businesses as an employee and later as an owner of a service station and then a repair shop after moving to Denver in 1960. Later, he worked as an operations manager for a scrap metal business and then as a designer in the kitchen and bathroom renovation/remodeling industry. Jesse was an expert at woodworking, gardening and was a pretty decent cook. He was very talented at building furniture and repairing practically everything around the house and on any vehicle. He was well known for his sense of humor and gregarious nature.
