Obituary of Frances Rose Gottlieb

Frances Gottlieb passed away peacefully. She was born in Denver, Colorado to Sarah and Julius, raised two sons, and married her devoted husband Stanley who preceded her in death.

Frances grew up on a farm just outside of Denver, surrounded by horses. She developed a passionate interest in art, and she studied art formally in France at the Fontainebleau School of Music and Fine Arts. She found success as a plein-air painter, winning awards and notoriety. Predictably, as an abstract painter, her favorite subject was horses. Frances’ work can be found in many private and public collections, including select Marriott hotels.

Travel was also a constant thread throughout her active personal and professional life. So, it was not surprising that as a young woman, she found success in the travel industry and eventually owned and operated a successful agency. She travelled to many fascinating and unique destinations around the globe. She saw the world, and she liked to think that the world saw her, and enhanced her long life.

Their remembrance of her is one of a dedicated mother, an accomplished artist, a loving wife and of a professional, successful businesswoman. Most importantly, she traveled the world and lived through her Art and her Spirit and Art will live on.

Please join us in celebrating her life Sunday afternoon 3/19 at 1:15PM.  We will meet at the Staging Area B at the Alameda entrance of Fairmount Cemetery.  From there we process to her Gravesite in the Emanuel Section of Fairmont (Block 29A).
