Obituary of Sherwin Zimmerman

Sherwin Zimmerman passed away on August 14. He is survived by the love of his life (married 73 years!), Audrey Zimmerman. When asked, Sherwin would say his next greatest loves were his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren; Children: Roy, Paul (Diane) and Gary (Peggy); Grandchildren (they called him Gramps): Andrew Zimmerman, Jordyn Zimmerman, Lisa Zimmerman, Jill Pinsky (Michael), Erica Edewaard (Kyle), Alex Zimmerman and Paige Hauser (Michael); Great Grandchildren: Aaron Pinsky, Asher Pinsky (z’l).  He is also survived by his brother, Norton Zimmerman (Mickey).

Sherwin loved to tell his family and friends stories of growing up in Chicago; graduating from Austin High School and his time playing basketball for DePaul University on a full scholarship. And with pride he shared how he was a successful entrepreneur, building a national envelope business. The growth of his business led to Sherwin and Audrey relocating to Denver. In his 30 plus years of retirement, Sherwin and Audrey traveled the world together. Sherwin valued the friendships that he made throughout his life.
