Obituary of Sima ("Simie") Bayless

Sima was born October 30, 1937, in Denver. She graduated from North High School, and from the University of Colorado where she received a B.A. in Philosophy and an M.A. in Communications. 

She was the wife of David Bayless and mother of Marilyn Chappell (Donald Misch) and Aimee Hertog (Justin). She was the stepmother of Crystal Deatherage and Robert Bayless, and she had 9 grandchildren. 

Sima was employed with the Denver Parks and Recreation Human Resources Department and did training seminars for all city employees. She was also a speech and communications instructor with the University of Colorado at Denver, Community College of Denver, and Colorado State Patrol Academy. After retirement, she renewed her interest in science by volunteering with the Denver Museum of Nature and Science and the Smithsonian Whipple Observatory in Arizona. 

She resided with her husband in Green Valley, Arizona. 

Graveside, Friday at 11:45am at Emanuel Cemetery.
