Obituary of Robin Schaffer
Robin Schaffer (nee Eisenberg) was born on February 10, 1957, in Toledo, Ohio, to Ted Daniel Eisenberg (deceased) and Elka (nee Rosen) Eisenberg. Robin died peacefully on November 2, 2023, after a long and painful bout with cancer.
Robin was married to Michael Schaffer, with whom she bore her beloved and precious daughter Hannah Schaffer Svoboda. Hannah and her husband Brian Svoboda have three young children: Harrison, Leo, and Lily Anne.
Robin earned an Associates Degree in Graphic Design from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. She had a successful career in graphic design, marketing, sales, and business development for multiple private IT companies; her final professional position was as a Business Development Strategist with Microsoft.
Robin was an exceptionally gifted and talented woman, a creative inventor, an accomplished pianist, artist, and chef. Her home and garden exemplify her imaginative design and carpentry skills. Robin enjoyed knitting and making gifts for her family and friends; her greatest joy was spending time with Hannah and playing, cooking, and gardening with her beloved grandchildren.
Robin is also survived by her loving older sister Hope Goldberg (and brother-in-law Steven), older brother Dale Eisenberg, younger sister Ivy Lynn Erickson, younger brother Matt Eisenberg, and mother Elka Eisenberg. Robin had countless beloved friends in her lifetime, all of whom cherish the time they had with her. Robin’s memory is truly a blessing to all who knew her.
