Obituary of Annette Finesilver
Annette Finesilver of Denver died peacefully Saturday, December 2. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Judge Sherman G. Finesilver, her parents, Naomi and Samuel Warren, and brother, Howard.
Born and raised in Chicago, IL, Annette found her way to University of Colorado, Boulder, to begin her undergraduate degree. Within weeks of arriving there, she met the love of her life, Shermie, and they were married the following year. Building their lives in Denver, their three children were born soon after, in the following several years.
During her early years of family life, Annette perfected the art of entertaining, by welcoming friends, relatives, colleagues, and dignitaries into her home, for meetings, holidays, and get-togethers. Annette ensured that visitors never left hungry!
Annette also became involved in community activism and community relations. Her career accomplishments included facilitating the launch of the 9Health Fair, working as a governmental and human relations consultant for City and County of Denver, and as an award-winning realtor with ReMax.
Annette is survived by her children, Jay (Mary Banerjee) Finesilver, Steve (Brenda) Finesilver, and Susan Finesilver; adoring grandchildren Justin (Megan) Finesilver, Lauren (Alex Anderson) Finesilver, Sararose (Mark) Posseno, Felicia (James) Shepard, Mary (Doug) Niewiarowicz, Rebecca Finesilver, Zachary Finesilver, Mitchell Finesilver, Joshua Finesilver, Matthew Finesilver, and Madeline Stanton; and great grandchildren, Emmie Finesilver, Penelope Rose Posseno, Marzanna Niewiarowicz, Corbyn, Carson, Olivia, and Emersyn Shepard. Annette will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, all of whom she loved and cherished. Annette is also survived by many wonderful, dear friends who are “her” family.
A funeral service for Annette will be held Wednesday, December 6, 1:00 pm at Temple Sinai – Abrahams Chapel; interment to follow at Emanuel Cemetery; livestream available on Temple Sinai’s website.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation immediately after interment, until 6:30. There will be a short service sometime between 5:30-6:00. Location: Temple Sinai Social Hall
