We (Joni's grandchildren) all called her "Buuzie", as my older brother couldn't pronounce "Bubbie" as a kid. The name stuck. My Buuzie was one of the most amazing people I have ever known- she was caring, generous, thoughtful, insightful... I could go on, and on about how amazing she was, suffice to say I adored her and consider myself so incredibly fortunate to have been one of her grandsons. Buuzie was one of my best friends. I think about her every day and like many others, I miss her dearly. It still doesn't feel real, as if I could call her or swing by and kibitz or eat our favorite foods together. There are no words for the love that I had, and have, for her.
I miss you, Buuzie. I wish I could tell you how much you mean to me one more time.
I love you, and thank you.
