Obituary of Susan Jay Dinn

Susan Jay Dinn passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 24, 2023 at the age of 80. She was the loving mother of Jennifer (David) Korman, Alison (Jeff Goodman) Dinn, and Lindsay (Chris) Casamassima. She was also the proud grandmother, “Namie”, of Madeline, Sam, Sophia, Charlie, Spencer, and Nathan. Susan was the sister of Betty (Gary Sigler) Fink and was predeceased by her sister, Joan (Michael Semler) Fink.

Susan was born in Cleveland, Ohio to Ben and Frieda and was a beloved teacher in the Cleveland City Schools for over 30 years, where she made a tremendous impact on her students. She was a lover of nature, an adventure traveler, a ceramicist, and a storyteller. Her limitless curiosity and capacity for joy was with her until the end.

Service, Tuesday (12/26), 12:00noon, Feldman Mortuary, 1673 York Street; interment Emanuel Cemetery. A livestream will be available on Feldman Mortuary’s YouTube channel.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Susan’s memory can be made to the Staenberg-Loup Jewish Community Center Ceramics Program or the Anti-Defamation League.
