Denver native Jason Walko tragically passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 23, 2023, at the far too young age of 47. Son of Stephen Walko (Lili Weiner), devoted husband of Lisa Feiner Walko, loving father of Blake and Taylor Walko, brother of Cary Walko, with numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Born on March 31, 1976, Jason attended Cherry Creek Schools, excelling in both basketball and tennis. He attended the University of Arizona, graduating with a degree in business finance, and then returning to live in Denver where he met the love of his life, Lisa. When Lisa and Jason met, they immediately became best friends and partners for life. They spent their lives dedicated to their two daughters.
While he had many endeavors, Jason’s true passion in life was his family, and it showed in his dedication to their every interest. He never missed a school event, dance recital, or family dinner. Nothing was too big or too small for Jason to patiently give his girls whatever time and support they needed. Outside of the home, Jason was also involved philanthropically with Jewish Colorado, National Jewish Health, and Jewish Family Service.
Jason was the first to offer a helping hand, kind word, or silly joke. He lived to make others around him happy and comfortable. He was the most kind and gentle man. An amazing father, husband, son, and brother, serving as a role model for all his friends and family. We love and miss you Jason.
Service, Tuesday (12/26), 1:30pm, Temple Emanuel, 51 Grape Street; interment Emanuel Cemetery; Livestream available on Feldman Mortuary’s YouTube channel.
Contributions in Jason’s memory can be made to JEWISHColorado, National Jewish Health, or Jewish Family Service.
