I’ve known Blanche for more than 35 years. We worked together as teachers. She was my realtor. Most of all, however, she was a dear friend. What I loved most about Blanche was her wry sense of humor and her zest for living. We laughed and joked together and had serious discussions, as well. I admired Blanche's intellect and her genius in mathematics. She would often beam when discussing successes that her students experienced, especially in math. Blanche was the cause of many smiles among many people. If she cared about you, you knew it. I was one of those people she cared about, and for that I'm grateful. My life was richer because of our friendhip. My memories of her will always be in my heart and mind.
