Hi Please accept our condolences We got to know Steve naturally when he started a relationship with my mother Aviva. We had the pleasure of visiting the lovely house in Zichron Yaakov on a dedicated trip or more usually on our way from up north back to Tel Aviv. He always welcomed us - me - Rani, Odelia my wife and 2 kids Eli and Daniellla, warmly with bright face. I loved his sincerity, directness, and stories from his past. Also liked his bold opinions about Israeli politics even if not matching my own many times. He liked to laugh and sometimes have a drink and that was great. We were impressed with the beautiful ceremony, and interesting and so well told story of Steve’s life. I first met Steve in April 2006 and we were together till his passing. A man of incredible courage and integrity. Thank you, my darling, for seventeen wonderful years. I have never met Mr. Metzler but am fortunate to have his beautiful granddaughter Lee, share beautiful stories and memories. I loved hearing about his cooking and funny anecdotes.
