Obituary of Max Brooks
Max Brooks, 87, was born January 5, 1937 in Denver, Colorado to Ann and Emil Brooks. Max passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones. Max grew up and lived his entire life in the Denver area. He graduated from North High School and went to college at University of Colorado. He decided that College wasn’t for him and joined the Army Reserves. He was recalled during the Berlin Crisis.
After being discharged from the army, Max married the love of his life, Mary Anne (Madden) Brooks. They had three beautiful daughters: Angeline, Diane and Faryl. Max was well known in the bail bond business, he owned and operated Brooks Bail Bonds. But Max’s passion was raising money through bingo for local non-profit organizations. He raised millions of dollars for non profit charities and was often referred to as "Mr. Bingo ''.
Max was a kind and incredibly generous person. He was willing to give you the shirt off of his back without question. An avid sports fan, he held season tickets to many national teams in Colorado. He never missed a good boxing match. Max loved his family and was a good friend to many others. He was proud of his time at the gym working out and riding a stationary bike 10 miles as recently as 4 weeks ago, with his good friend Brian as his “coach”.
Max is survived by his three daughters: Angeline Wood (Homer Page), Diane (Curt) Cemer, and Faryl Paez, His grandchildren: Samantha Wood (Keeyon Tate), Cory (Amber) Cemer, Bo Cemer, and Melissa Paez (Mac Cortinas), 9 great-grandchildren, his brothers: Morey (Carol) Brooks, Stewart (Paula) Brooks and sister Vicki Bramble along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Donations in Max's memory may be sent to AISH (Southeast Center for Judaism, West Side), Benevolent Society, or to the charity of your choice.

A chapel service in honor of Max will be held Monday, March 18, 2024 10:30am at Feldman Mortuary, with interment to follow at Golden Hill Cemetery. Livestream available on Feldman Mortuary's YouTube channel.
A family and friends gathering will take place at 1:30 p.m. Monday March 18th, following the graveside service at Dolce Event Center, Center Tech Plaza Shopping Center, 15600 E 6th, Aurora, CO 80011
