I want to express my condolences to all of John's family and friends, especially his son John, who was a colleague of mine at CML from back in the day, and spouse Elaine, a wonderful person indeed. John and I became well acquainted and a warm friendship emerged from his days lobbying for the City of Colorado Springs and myself for the Colorado Municipal League. We shared many laughs together (I will always remember that great smile no matter what the challenge under the Gold Dome) and we engaged on numerous issues, especially open space and the formation of GOCO. John had such a passion to make Colorado a better place. I feel fortunate to have known John as a colleague and even better yet, a friend of long stranding. May John's memory be a blessing.
