Obituary of Alex L Cooper
Alex Cooper (1962-2024), was a passionate, loving, and determined husband and father. The founder of three technology companies, his proudest achievements by far were his family and enduring friendships.
The son of Susan and Ernest Cooper, both Holocaust survivors from Hungary, Alex was born in Queens, New York on April 8, 1962. The same week as his beloved New York Mets. He grew up in Queens before going on to attend Vassar College and founding multiple successful companies.
He was a passionate Ironman athlete, completing 10 Ironman races and sharing his love for the sport with his daughter, Jessica. A lover of the outdoors and endurance sports, he eventually settled in Denver, Colorado with his wife, Beth, after many years spent living together in New Jersey. There, they continued to build on a beautiful relationship and developed deep friendships in their new home. Among many of the beautiful things Colorado has to offer, he loved to spend time skiing and biking there, with both his son, Evan, and daughter, Jessica, as well as his many friends.
Alex was diagnosed with a glioblastoma in January of 2023, but true to his character, enjoyed a beautiful year and more thereafter with his wife, children, and loved ones.
Alex is survived by his wife, Beth; children, Evan, Jessica, Ben, and Molly; and grandchildren, Noa, Ella, and Theo.
