Obituary of Marjorie Alexander

Marjorie Alexander, of Denver, died peacefully on March 29, 2024, due to frontotemporal dementia. Marjorie was born in Los Angeles, California, on March 7, 1958. She leaves behind daughter Joey Alexander, cousins, her father and friends in many places.

 

A celebration of life will be held in Marjorie’s honor at Highland Park in Denver: 3265 N Federal Blvd, look for the purple balloons, at 5:45 pm on Saturday, September 21.

After working at Parsons Brinckerhoff, Marjorie started Two Hundred in 2002 to support community engagement of large-scale infrastructure and transit projects. Marjorie became active in WTS and served as the President of WTS Colorado from 2007-2008.

 

In 2017, Marjorie moved out to San Francisco to pursue more of the creative work she enjoyed. LA Metro, BART and Sound Transit joined her client list. Marjorie returned to Denver in 2019 after being diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer.

 

In lieu of flowers, please donate to Marjorie’s nonprofit of choice, Children’s Hospital Colorado. If you donate on the hospital’s website, please consider designating the funds to the hospital’s Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders.
