Obituary of Sharon Sanders
Sharon Ann Sanders was born in Denver, CO on May 4, 1943. She was preceded in death by her sister, Norma Jacques. She is survived by her daughters, Stacey Sanders, Marla (Randy) Berkheim and Allison (Bob) Williams. She leaves behind 4 incredible and adoring grandkids: Ben and Alex Williams and Jake and Ivy Berkheim.
Sharon took great joy in her children and grandchildren and was their biggest fan. She attended every event, and cheered them on. She was very proud of her daughters and the work they do and their contributions to this world. She adored her sons-in-law and treated them as her own, and relied on them for many household repairs.
She had many close friends and loved playing Mah Jong multiple times a week, even though she rarely won more than $3. She was loyal to MSNBC and wanted to stick around to cast her vote for the first female president. She believed in equity and equality and wanted the world to be better for her loved ones. She loved the theater, Andrea Bocelli and George Clooney.
She was strong willed, tough, resilient and independent. She had to adjust to life changes in her 50s and was able to reinvent herself and create a life that she enjoyed.
As her health failed these last 6 months, she remained positive and strong and independent and in control of her health and choices. She died under the loving care of Denver Hospice. Her family is grateful that they all got to say goodbye and spend her last days together. She was surrounded by laughter, tears and memories as she rested and every time a grandchild spoke to her, she perked up, even in her final hours. She will be missed dearly and her family is so grateful for the outpouring of love and support.
