Obituary of Robert A Fetter
Robert (Bob) Alan Fetter passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 9th, at Aurora
Medical Center in Denver, CO. Bob was born on June 13, 1956, a birthday he shared with his
sister Martha, who was born on the same day, two years later. Bob spent his early life growing
up in Woodbridge, CT, with brief stints in both California and Switzerland when his father
traveled on research sabbaticals. After graduation from the University of Vermont, Bob earned
two master’s degrees in computer science, the second from the University of Colorado in
Boulder, where he resided before moving to Denver.
For most of his adult life, Bob resided in and around Denver Colorado. He was a dedicated
sportsman, and loved to golf and ski. He spent many hours on the golf course and ski slopes
in Beaver Creek. Bob worked in sales and marketing for a variety of software companies, and
was on the cutting edge of software development for mobile applications. He was also an
entrepreneur, and worked with several start ups.
One of his greatest passions was music — both enjoying and performing. He loved to play his
guitar until arthritis made that impossible. He cheered enthusiastically for all of the Colorado
professional sports teams, but held a special place in his heart for the Denver Broncos.
Bob is survived by his adult daughters, Taylor Fetter of San Francisco, CA, and Kelly Fetter of
Metairie, LA. He is also survived by his mother Audrey Fetter of Vero Beach FL, two sisters,
Martha Austin (Ted) of Sharon, VT and Sarah Robinson of Sandwich, MA, by his nieces Grace
Robinson and Emma Austin, and his nephews Doug Robinson, Sam Robinson, and Conor
Austin. His father, Robert Fetter, predeceased him.
