Obituary of Stanley Harold Kippur
Stanley Harold Kippur was born on July 27, 1941. He grew up on the infamous ‘West Side’ of Denver and graduated from North High School. He received his business degree from the University of Denver in 1963. Following graduation, he served in the Coast Guard reserve. Shortly thereafter, Stanley joined his family’s scrap metal business. He retired from the business in 2000 and became a volunteer at Rose Medical Center. Because of his special ability to relate to patients, he was offered a permanent job there, which he thoroughly enjoyed through 2019. In 2019, he was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, which he courageously managed and recently went into remission. Stanley loved fishing, golfing, reading, and in particular, any kind of historical books. He loved playing the piano and was instrumental in his granddaughter’s interest in music. He also enjoyed listening to jazz and swing music from the 20's, 30's, and 40's, as well as old time radio shows.
In 1965, Stanley married the love of his life, Judy Fink. They were married for 59 years and had two children, Lisa and Scott. He will be forever missed by Judy, Lisa (Chad Bauer) Kippur, Scott (Yelena) Kippur, and his adoring grandchildren Natasha Kippur and Sam Kippur. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law Norma Golblatt, Penny Hudis, and by Yelena’s mother Nadia Sosipatrova. Also missing him will be Stanley’s nieces and nephews, Sandy and Jeff Barter, Terry Tilliss and Stacey Pocrass, Ron and Michelle Catalan, Rebecca Catalan, and Gary and Tandy Kippur.
