Jill, Rachel and Ari --
When Beth told Myra and me about Jamie"s heart attack and her subsequent hospitalization, we were heartbroken. Myra and I were talking about how Jamie was one of the first girls Beth met upon our arrival and how kind she was to Beth. And there were so many times we interacted with Jamie. She was filled with grace, dignity and class. As I watched today's funeral I had tears in my eyes. Our daughters were the same age and losing Jamie felt as though part of my heart was missing. In the book Tuesdays with Morrie, Professor Morrie says, "death ends a life, but not a relationship." I will always think of Jamie and the nights she and Beth and Hadar and Orly and Tonya hung out. My words are not really sufficient, but I am terribly sorry for your loss. And as the Rabbi said, every mid-month I will smile and remember your beautiful daughter and sibling.
