My name is Howard Matalon. I am Jack Matalon's son and after Debbie reconnected with her birth mother, she became my Aunt too. It was always Aunt Debbie's wish to connect the families and she always felt like an Aunt to me just like Lisa and Brent are my cousins. I hope this is the beginning of reconnection and a fulfillment of Aunt Debbie's wish. I will deeply miss her and have such great memories of my brief time with her. Perhaps that made the time all the more precious.

I worked with Debbie for years at Great-West. We would often trade email messages saying we were reading the retirement section of the employee handbook. We went together to concerts at Hudson Gardens. After Covid stopped those concerts, I didn't see her as often as I should have! Even when she was dealing with Larry's illness she was always had a positive outlook at work. After we fulfilled those retirement pages, I know she loved visiting her children and grandchildren. She organized our group tickets to see The Lion King when it first came to the Buell. I remember we had a pre-show party to watch the movie before we saw the play. She was a wonderful caring person. This is a wonderful picture, just as I remember her.
