Obituary of Jo Ann Sperling

Jo was born and grew up in Denver, attending Denver Public Schools and later, the University of Colorado.  She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  

Jo was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Dorothy Oppenheimer and grandson, Derek Rudawsky.  She is survived by her husband of 63 1/2 years, Dr. Morton Sperling; daughters Staci (Zvi) Rudawsky and Edie (Josh) Widoff; grandchildren Alyssa (Josh) Thompson, Ethan (Liz) Widoff and Molly Widoff; great granddaughter Deanna Thompson.

Funeral will be held at 2 pm on Friday January 3 at Rose Hill Cemetery with live streaming available on the Feldman Mortuary YouTube Channel.

The family asks that contributions be made in Jo's name to the Dravet Syndrome Foundation at www.dravetfoundation.org.

Shiva will be held at 4504 S Akron St, Greenwood Village 80111 on Saturday from 6-8 with the service at 7:15 and again on Sunday at the same time.
